Job Title: Deli Service Counter Manager
FSLA Status: Hourly
Immediate Supervisor: Deli Manager
Responsible for working closely with all deli counter associates in an effort to ensure all company policies and procedures are being followed, department goals are being obtained, and associates'' needs are being met. Contributes to store sales and profitability by effectively managing all counter aspects of the deli department.

Adheres to all cleaning and sanitation guidelines
Adheres to all safety regulations and procedures, and makes sure co-workers are doing the same
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Leads, coaches, teaches, and reinforces Festival culture, customer service, and performance expectations to all deli associates
Trains new deli associates and completing training checklists for all counter associates
Helps Deli Manager write and conduct performance reviews of deli associates
Documents violations of company policies/procedures by deli associates and conducts appropriate corrective action
Answers questions and provides guidance to all counter deli department associates
Makes sure one associate is on the counter from 8am-8pm daily
Responsible for completion of weekly associate evaluation of company standard in customer service expectations (10 Tile)
2) Provides customer service to guests
Assist guests with finding items they are looking for on or off the sales floor
Takes orders and other special requests
Answers the telephone and assists callers using proper phone etiquette
Addresses guest concerns and resolves issues when a guest is not satisfied with the service or product received, if in need further assistance, bring concern to Deli Manager
3) Watches over service case
Quality control
Makes sure products are rotated, using first in first out method
Takes over presentation of service case, making sure everything is decorated for the upcoming holiday or special event
Garnish product to meet Deli standards
Makes sure case and everything around it is clean and tidy; no messes or spills
Be sure to have "New Item" signs and change out signs if things are on sale to the correct price
Fill cupboards with containers, lids, spoons, tags, etc.
Completes maintenance requests for service case.
4) Inventory and Temperatures
Take temperatures of everything regularly and complete necessary logs
Keep slicer log up to date
Assist manager in counting inventory
5) Required to maintain food safety logs.
6) Ensure all quality standards are being met, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm.

Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers and all personnel
Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to handle a diverse crew in a highly stressful environment
Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies
Must possess the ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards on store premises. Also requires proper training and knowledge of the following equipment/procedures: slicers, proper lifting techniques, trash compactor, baler
Knowledge of the retail food business, thorough knowledge of perishable department operations, merchandising skills, and must be able to make timely and effective decisions
Personality traits to include motivating, outgoing, and friendly
Must be comfortable suggestive selling additional products or promotions to guests
Must have WI Certified Food Manager License (Festival will pay in order to get certified if not)

Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
Full range of upper body motion
Must be able to work at a fast pace
May be exposed to extreme temperatures
WORK SCHEDULE
The Deli Service Counter Manager is a full time hourly position scheduled 40 hours per week
The shift to be worked will be a morning shift, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
