Customer Service Rep - Temporary

Provides support to the outside and inside sales team including administrative support and/or customer service. Serves as a support and liaison between sales personnel and customers.
1. Provides accurate and timely support to the outside sales team, members of the inside sales team and/or to customers.
2. Serves as liaison between the sales organization and customers.
3. Handles incoming phone calls and e-mails from customers and provides requested information in a timely and efficient manner. Answers customer questions regarding topics such as pricing, availability, delivery, backorders, specifications, returns, credits and order placements. Promotes an effective working relationship with customers and may be contacted directly by customers requesting information.
4. Monitors scheduled shipping dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite, as needed.
5. Investigates customer complaints or concerns. Relays customer concerns to others on the sales team and assists in investigating the issue. Resolves issues within company guidelines. As needed, escalates larger concerns to more experienced sales team members for resolution.
6. Coordinates with other departments throughout the company on quotes, orders, returns and credits.
7. Maintains up-to-date vendor/source product catalogs, with current product and pricing information.
8. Maintains customer files and job files.
9. Enters orders into system and schedules delivery of products.
10. Remains current on customer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments by attending in-house meetings, vendor training or reading trade journals.
11. Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or coworkers. Attends periodic safety meetings as required. May recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
12. Carries out other duties as required.

High school diploma or GED and prior sales support or customer service experience preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
