Perform patient check in and registration for clinic and hospital visits. Ensure all demographic and insurance information is accurate and update in billing systems. Assist patients and family members with billing and account questions, including following up with insurance companies and internal departments as needed. Request payments from patient for their out of pocket responsibility at or before the Point of Service. Accept and process patient payments for visits and account balances, ensuring cash is accurate and secure at all times. Ensure all encounters occur in a courteous, professional and confidential manner.
Basic
Qualifications:
Basic accounting knowledge (understanding of debits and credits). At least one year of customer service experience. Frontline medical office experience preferred.

Qualifications:
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask. Consistently pleasant and helpful with strong customer service skills. Ability to remain calm and defuse difficult situations. Ability to work individually, and as a member of a team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Basic computer and office equipment knowledge, and ability to operate windows based programs.

Hours/Pay Period: Full Time: 80
Schedule Details: Primarily: Monday - Friday 6am -6pm.
Weekend Schedule: Rotating weekends: Saturday and Sunday mornings currently.
Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $11.78 per hour.
