Job Description
POSITION
Summary:
A Junior Project Manager is responsible assisting Project Managers with the coordination and completion of projects within the Information Services department. They have received secondary education on Project Management basic concepts but have not had the opportunity to apply those concepts in a professional work environment. This person require direct supervision when working on project related activities.
PRIMARY
Responsibilities:
Creates meeting agendas and schedules meetings
Attends project meetings to take minutes and action items
Documents and distributes meeting minutes
Follows up on action items and tracking of open issues
Assists in creating and updating project plans using templates
Monitors completion of project tasks using actual hours worked in MS Project Plans
Assists in providing project status reporting to IS Management and Business
Prepares project documentation deliverables for approvals
Ensures all project documents are archived following project completion
Project Standards and Procedures:
Follow all Corporate Standards and IS Systems Standards to develop and support projects
Constantly monitor work to ensure the highest level of quality
Production Issues:
Assist in the execution of action plans
Follow established process for problem handling or resolution
Security and Confidentiality:
Maintain information confidentiality and security
Protect and prevent unauthorized attempts to obtain corporate information
Report all unauthorized incidents to the management
Other:
Suggest and recommend better ways of improving the quality of work within a team
Other tasks as assigned by Director

Skills/Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a Computer Science, Computer Programming or MIS related field
OR
Equivalent work experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in Information Systems
Must have demonstrated proficiency with MS Project Professional 2007 or above
Project Management training or certification is desired
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent design and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work independently, as well as cooperate with others in team efforts
Must work within designated normal office hours assigned or required by work
Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
