Responsibilities:
The Project Director of Open and Affordable Education Resources leads Chippewa Valley Technical College's efforts related to open educational resources (OER) and affordable educational resources (AER).
This dynamic position combines expertise in technology-enhanced learning, research, strategic planning, and collaboration with the goal of advancing education with access to affordable resources.
This position will lead state-wide OER projects funded by the WTCS by managing numerous resource creation projects by collaborating with subject matter experts from across the state.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all original creation of WTCS-led and CVTC-led OER textbook projects.
Work with print publisher to create statewide bound copy.
In tandem with editors, collaborate with faculty developers/subject matter experts from across the state.
Facilitate the state and national peer review process.
Coach and provide guidance to each project editor.
Communicate regularly with stakeholders (i.
e.
, quarterly reports).
Oversee fiscal operations and grant-reporting.
Provide training on the writing process, OER, and creative common requirements.
Connect with other WTCS instructional programs and departments to promote future OER development and adoption.
Oversee the development of course shells and ancillary materials, based on available funding.
Lead or collaborate in project meetings as required, including developer, contributor, or advisory committee meetings.
Communicate and advocate for the projects to Wisconsin technical colleges and relevant curriculum committees, dean groups, instructional programs, advisory committees, relevant associations, national organizations, and/or accrediting organizations.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Advanced knowledge of and skills with technology including software programs for communication, data collection, and decision making including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in education, Library, Information Technology, or related field required.
Minimum of two years teaching experience required; experience at postsecondary level preferred.
Experience in representing an organization at conferences and industry preferred.
Minimum of two years experience in open education resources required.
Experience with performance-based curriculum, program development, online course and program development, assessment strategies, faculty and staff development and data analytics preferred.
