Summary:
This position is responsible for interpreting sales and marketing data to create a targeted and effective print distribution plan for Menards.
The position will obtain and verify media data and costs, utilize and understand proprietary software while demonstrating independent judgement to create the best possible media buy.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Communicate frequently with Circulation team, newspaper contacts and media agency regarding print buys Interpret sales, customer, demographic, lifestyle and product data for purposes of creating an optimal media plan that specifically addresses clients needs Review current, recommend future newspaper buys based on media distribution data such as location, traffic patterns, rates, competitors, etc Review current and recommend future outdoor advertising (billboards) buys Negotiate with vendors regarding billboard programs Utilize software to create customized maps of various markets related to buy analyses Review, validate data and provide recommendations for new store openings, market reviews and post-event analysis Work closely with other departments such as Merchandising and Operations to execute marketing programs Assist in quoting print projects as needed Evaluate and resolve guest comment related issues Help with store flyer copy tracking to ensure the stores are receiving their weekly flyers Gather data to analyze placement of media products within proprietary systems Analyze zip code coverage and how it affects our flyer versions to give recommendations Participate in projects and other incidental duties as assigned Requirements:
4 year college degree in Marketing or Business preferred Experience in media, advertising or marketing is a plus Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and marketing data to develop into a media plan Quick learner, multi-tasker that can learn our proprietary systems Excellent communicator Skilled negotiator Proficient in all Microsoft office applications, particularly Excel.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
